Jason Blumen - Keep Yourself in The Groove: Informational Workshop on All Aspects of Health and Wellness at Summer Music Festivals

The workshop will be an open roundtable discussion hosted by Groove Medical Services with special guests including Aspenroots counselors specializing in psychotropics and research, MD's with specialization in Wilderness and Emergency Medicine, Environmental experts, and Chef Ronin specializing in healthy eating. All panel experts have extensive personal knowledge of the music festival scene. Wellness (being a good neighbor/ citizen/ friend and host to the environment and how to last 4 days without getting into trouble). GMS believes that flexible, open-minded education and discussion provides options for every type of person. The wellness workshop series is much more dynamic than a classroom setting with instructor(s). The workshop is about joining in partnerships, sharing experiences, and cohesive education. This workshop format requires open, non-judgmental communication and the blending of Eastern, Western, Traditional and Non-Traditional Medicinal philosophies. For those people interested in becoming more aware of how to maintain and improve health and wellness inside and outside of the festival world these workshops are an unforgettable and worthwhile experience.

Dive into Deep Play - Damian Leuthold
Turn on. Tune in. Drop in.
Enter the world of Deep Play where we:
– turn on our vitality and curiosity
– tune in to relationship (with self, other, group, and world)
– drop in to our body (our head, heart, and gut)

In deep play we build relationship and build capacity. In deep play we meet the world with full resource and then go toward the unknown and possibly uncomfortable. In deep play we learn to behave differently and meet the world with more freedom and choice.
You can develop new behavior by finding freedom from compulsion to follow old patterns. Do this by investigating your inner world to discover what is driving those patterns. Those drives live somewhere in your body, and somewhere in your sensations, perceptions, and emotions. Somewhere below your normal conscious awareness.
We will introduce to many practices from the somatic and relational realms which are nourishing and fun AND give you the opportunity to do that discover yourself, make the unconscious conscious and grow beyond previous conditioning.

Enter into Deep Play and find yourself in freedom!

She’s a wild woman and about as empathic as they get. She’s sassy, weird and harmless. She is fueled by art and play and movement. Peace Qigong

How do we practice residing in our center in the midst of reaching out? How do we harmonize the infinite beautiful energies around us with our own multiplicity? What can we do to cultivate tranquility and quiescence within, so that we may move through life's dynamic changes with a sense of being on a path of peace?

I would like to teach peace qigong as a method to provide participants an experience of embodied knowing that responds to the inquiries above. Qigong is a holistic practice that aligns mind, breath, and movement to restore vitality and clarity. Peace qigong is a form that will support Arise as a community brought together through shared intention, vision, and compassion. It includes a guided visualization that imagines each person's heartbeat connected to the heartbeat of mother earth, connected to the heartbeat of all living beings. Participants will both reach out to feel connection energetically in the field, and draw in to harmonize that energy internally. This course will be appropriate for practitioners of all levels, including those who have never done qigong before. Teaching, questions and answers are possible, but practice that remains focused on direct experience without rational analysis may be more appropriate based on the desires of the group.

Workshop Description: Peace is within us, each and every moment. Please join me for an embodied experience that restores vitality, clarity, and peace through movement, visualization, and breath. Qigong is a simple practice of moving energy intentionally throughout your body and beyond, and requires no previous experience. In peace qigong, you will sense your heartbeat connected to the heartbeat of mother earth, resonating with the heartbeat of all living beings. As you are guided through this form, you will experience harmonization of energies within and around you. This gentle method will help you feel centered and clear, and support our Arise experience by enhancing and uniting our shared intention, vision, and compassion.

Liberation of Impermanence - Laura Chiraya Fox
Laura Chiraya Fox - Liberation of Impermanence

The Path to “home” includes the realization of our True Self, our Sat Nam, our true divine nature. It is in feeling, thinking and believing that we are “other” than divine, or that we are limited bodies, that we get “caught up” in struggle, strife and cycles of suffering. Chiraya is in service to this awakening, and offers these transmissions with a single pointed focus and desire to assist in the liberation from cycles of pain and misunderstanding to open the way for the greatest potential experience of joy, divine love and fulfillment in this lifetime. In the spirit of Ramana Maharshi and Avelokiteshvara, the transmission for this class Liberation of Impermanence will lead to an opportunity to share questions and responses, to be followed by a meditation time and space “in the field” of all creative potential. Chiraya will guide participants into this magnetic, still pool of deep reflection and healing. The energy and Presence does the work of dissolving that which needs to be dissolved, healing that which needs to be healed, and restoring that which needs to be restored.

Finding Voice, Receiving Song - Ayla Nereo
This workshop led by songwriter and performer Ayla Nereo will open up our creative channels to receive song, to experiment and play with our voices and creative process, and to offer our Sound into the world to feed the Life that breathes us each moment. Through trusting our ability to listen and create sound, we learn to trust our own intuition and power to be creators of our lives. Each time we sing, we find new edges, and by leaning into them we can see who we are becoming. We sing for the Joy of it. And we sing for the Need of it, to make offerings of sound that can ripple out and make beauty and good for this planet. Ayla will facilitate group singing that leads us into a deeper understanding of how to receive and create music, find words and craft lyrics, shape melodies into whole songs, and trust ourselves as we do it all.

This is an open space for us all to be creative, loud, playful, and strong. It is both a personal journey and a collective experience.

ALL are welcome, whether you are a singer, songwriter, poet, painter, wish to sing or create more, have never touched an instrument, or just want to get inspired.

Integrative Authentic Relating
with Jason Diggs

Workshop Description: Fun and highly-interactive group exercises that explore ways of seeing, connecting, and appreciating yourself and others at a deeper level.

By ‘games’ we mean fun, highly interactive partner and group exercises that demonstrate and explore authentic relating, getting to know yourself better while at the same time learning to see and appreciate more about everyone you connect with.

By ‘authentic’ we mean that there is no cookie-cutter mold for how you “should” be or what relating “should look like”. Everyone is a complete universe unto themselves, has a unique style, personality, and integrity that is perfectly *them*, and everyone is perfect and amazing as they are (including their belief that they aren’t.)

They are safe places for taking risks, practicing the art of relating with others, playing a little more outside our comfort zones and discovering more about ourselves than we might in our everyday lives.

They’re also a chance to have fun and party in a conscious way with great people, going beyond small talk and expected (and sometimes boring) social norms.
