John Quigley is an internationally known Artist, Producer, and Activist. As founder of Spectral Q his unique ‘Art Activations’ are a mix of human installation and aerial photography that bring together communities to create large-scale messages for the common good. Focusing on themes of health, human rights, social justice, ecological balance, democracy, and freedom, his work strives to liberate the spirit and inspire unity through creative participation.

He will share his experience creating more than 200 human ‘aerial art’ images involving more than 200,000 people (see www.SpectralQ.com). The images were created on landscapes ranging from the Amazon Rainforest to Antarctic icebergs to cities across the world. His images have been seen by millions of people in hundreds of major news outlets globally.

He will discuss the role of ‘Art Activation’ in mobilizing movements that transform society. He will also reference some of his high profile frontline actions including the 71 day ‘Old Glory’ tree-sit and the 23 day South Central Farm tree-sit with Julia Butterfly Hill and Daryl Hannah as well as his work as an Amazon Ambassador (www.AmazonWatch.org), whale advocate (www.Whaleman.org), and energy activist (Counterspill.org).
