Fort Collins, CO Punch Drunk Munky Funk is a five piece funk/jazz/groove band based out of Fort Collins, Co. Coming together in 2012 with the intention of being a one off, PDMF quickly realized they had serious potential. Incredibly diverse musical backgrounds and influences have led to an organic blend of funk, jazz, hip hop, r&b, rock and soul that sets them apart from the typical jam band scene while keeping true to the spirit of improvisation. PDMF takes major inspiration from new fusion groups like the Garrett Sayers and Robert Glasper Trios as well as classic groundbreakers such as Herbie Hancock and Frank Zappa. With a focus on tying funky, soulful grooves together with tight arrangements, their live show is high energy and musically compelling.
